Abstract
Christian Weikop’s study of Heroic Symbols 1969 by Anselm Kiefer is one in our series of In Focus projects about individual artworks in the collection. Here he discusses his approach to researching this subversive series of photographs, the value of collaborating with other scholars and critics, and what it was like to interview Kiefer in person.
